As one long-term public popular science education program set by Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation, "Panda Class" aims to popularize the popular science knowledge of many other animals and plants living in panda protection zone, such as golden monkey and red panda, etc., by popularizing the popular science knowledge of "protecting giant panda".

As the first phase of “Panda Class” program, "Lushan Session" has special significance. Lushan is one of the habitats of giant panda. By conducting group activities, Lushan invited the teachers and students in Lushan to participate in public education activity of this phase, making them lover their hometown, increasing their awareness to protect environment and animals & plants resources, as well as mobilizing, affecting or promoting the environmental awareness of their relatives and friends, so as to decrease the damage and effects of human activities on natural resources.

By visiting Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and Chengdu Zoo, teachers and students have learned about relevant knowledge about some endangered and rare animals such as giant panda, red panda and golden monkey, etc. Through garden touring activity and game activities, they have understood the importance of protecting environment and endangered and rare animals. On the discussion meeting after activities, from students’ speech, we found that they have formed a sense of ownership on protecting the natural environment of their hometown and have discovered the beauty of nature and they advocated that excessive consumption should be reduced as to protect the environment and also the animals living in the world. We believe that their sense of responsibility will definitely pose effects on the lifestyle of adults around them.

The theme on the last day of "Panda Class: Lushan Session" activity is "Pursue Science, Fly Your Dream". On that day, teachers and students came to Sichuan Science and Technology Museum and learned the power of science and dreams. The activity was ended successfully in teachers and students' happy laughter.

1.Panda Class Opens!
To make children from Lushan, Sichuan better know about giant panda and care about nature, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation conducted a three-day “Panda Class” public popular science education program “Lushan Session” activity from July 16 to July 18.

2.Exploration of the Secrets of Giant Panda: “Panda Class” Lushan Session Opens Smoothly
On July 16, “Panda Class” public popular science education program phase I “Lushan Session” activity was held successfully in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It was held by Chengdu Giant Panda Public Education Seminar.

3.Panda Class: Lushan Session
On the morning of July 16, students from Lushan came to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding for visitation and study. All students were distributed in four small classes for activities on that day.

4.“We Are Together, Care for Nature”: Visitation to Chengdu Zoo by Teachers and Students from Lushan
On July 17, more than 50 teachers and students from Lushan County came to Chengdu Zoo and participated in activities on the second day of “Panda Class” Lushan Session. They spent a full and happy day under the ingenious arrangement of Chengdu Zoo.

5.Fly Dreams in Science: Successful Ending of “Panda Class” Lushan Session
The activity theme of the last day of “Panda Class: Lushan Session” is “Pursue Science, Fly Your Dream”. Over 50 teachers and students participating in “Panda Class” Lushan Session visited Sichuan Science and Technology Museum on the morning of July 18, although it was raining.

Song Yuyang: after attended the Panda Class activity, we learned how to protect nature, how to cherish natural resources and learned how to protect giant panda. Besides, we should tell parents and friends how to protect giant panda, too.
